π Contact & Support
Important Notice About Support
Because HSTools is entirely free and maintained by a homeschool dad and his family (not a business), we're unable to provide individualized support or respond to direct contact requests.
Why No Direct Contact?
HSTools operates entirely on a donation-based modelβthere are no subscriptions, no ads, and no paid tiers. This means there's also no budget for a support team or customer service department. The platform is maintained in spare time, between homeschooling our own children and other family responsibilities.
Providing individualized support to every user would quickly become overwhelming and unsustainable, ultimately jeopardizing the entire project. To keep HSTools free and available to everyone, we need to rely on self-service resources rather than one-on-one support.
Resources Available to You
While we can't offer personal support, we've created several resources to help you get the most out of HSTools:

Found a Bug or Have a Suggestion?
If you encounter a technical issue or have an idea for improving HSTools, please check the Improvements page to see if it's already been reported or suggested. The community-driven nature of this project means that many issues and ideas are documented there.
Understanding the Trade-off
We recognize that the lack of personalized support isn't ideal. However, it's the trade-off that allows HSTools to remain completely free for everyone. Commercial homeschool platforms can offer support because they charge $10-30 per month (or more) per family. We've chosen to prioritize accessibility over support infrastructure.
Most users find that the self-service resources are sufficient for their needs, and the platform is designed to be intuitive and straightforward. If you run into difficulties, the FAQ and Help Center usually have the answers you need.
Thank You for Understanding: We appreciate your patience and understanding. By keeping support self-service, we can keep HSTools free and accessible to all homeschool families, regardless of their financial situation. Your use of the available resources helps make this sustainable.
HSTools is donation-supported. If the platform has been valuable to you, please consider making a donation to help cover server costs and keep the project going.
